MySQL myisamchk question

  • Sorry guys, just a question. When MySQL is up, if i do a:
    myisamchk -e -s *.MYI
    i got a lot of this warning:
    12 clients is using or hasn't closed the table properly....and similar. If i do the check when MySQL is stopped i don't see any error. I want know if is normal that when mysql is up myisamchk give me this error, anyway i have no problem with the database. Thanks in advance.


  • myisamchk is meant to be only run when mysql server is shutdown/stopped, running myisamchk while mysql server is running can possibly corrupt your databases hence the errors
