Sometimes, ONE question 'sparks' another, so I thought I would ASK! I like to RELAX, and I 'read' a little... takes my mind off of things... (Will I get 'spanked' if I say the name of a magazine that does 'CONDENSATIONS'?) A page or two of LAUGHS! Or, a short article, and I'm ready to 'relinquish' the THRONE! Fortunately, in THIS modern day and age, I don't need to tear out the PAGES of the catalog, or magazine, I've just 'read'! GIRLS... don't be 'bashful'! » NZ: Unvaccinated sheep 'pose serious risk' of leptospirosis to meat workers
Source: http://www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/4500420a3600.html Unvaccinated sheep 'pose serious risk' NZPA Tuesday, 29 April 2008 A new study of Hawke's Bay meatworkers butchering sheep has revealed 10 per cent of them have been exposed leptospirosis, confirming sheep pose a serious risk as carriers of the bacterial disease. Leptospirosis affects the kidneys in humans and can have effects ranging from a mild flu-like condition to renal failure requiring hospitalisation. Meatworkers are now one of the occupations most at risk of contracting leptospirosis, and made up a third of notifications in 2006. Te Puke meatworker Johnny Taewa, 50, died after he caught the disease in February 2005 at Affco's Rangiuru works. During 2003-2005 lep...... - 2010-03-21
» Marketing manager or nurse?
Would you rather be a marketing manager or nurse, and why? What are the pros and cons of each?Marketing manager doesn't have to be around sick people all day so i take that. The con is you don't get to save many lives..Marketing manager, but everyone is different. My husband is a nurse and I could never do what he does. I'm in sales, and while he used to be in sales, he has no idea how I can deal with the type of people I do, selling what I sell (the people are bridezillas and the product is wedding receptions). I love sales, so I would MUCH rather be a marketing manager. If you are interested in both, I would get a degree in nursing and then minor in sales and marketing. Then work as a nurse for a while. I'm not sure if I'm even spelling it right.. It's a car that was produced in the 70's as far as I'm told.. I saw a video of a guy who modified one with a chevy engine.. It has a 4-cylinder originally.. Looking at it it reminds me of the Ford Capri of the same vintage and size.. Hey, im a first poster, and I have a bit of a problem. The first time I used XBMC, I went to My Applications>Games and there were a bunch of games installed on to the hardrive I presume (note: I didn't play them yet). I think I might have done something wrong because I restarted my Xbox (when I pressed "A" when selecting a game, it would disappear, didn't know that :sniffle: ) and when I came back to the games part, all the files were gone and I have no idea how to get them back. Does anyone have a solution to this? Help is appreciated :)sorry, I don't mean to double post but I forgot to add something: I didn't press on all the games, so they didn't all disappear. But im not sure how or why this happened. It may be that whoever installed XB...... - 2010-03-21

how inconsistent theistic views are? everybody says they've got the one god, that they've got the one religion, that they're right.. and that even within the same specific sub-sect of religion, say roman catholicism.. not just catholicism, not just chrisitanity.. but a *very* specific branch of it.. that there are differences so vast and/or plentiful that it varies even from church to church... such incongruity means that *specific* religions are broken down into following of say 200 people.. does anybody else find the humor in this? how unifying and yet completely alienating religion is?I think its ignorant for people to say that their religion and only their specific religion is 100% correct; its illogical- how can ...... - 2010-03-21

I am looking for other TV father figures that are fun to watch. Theses two are both protective of family, funny and adept at killing people; and they make you wish your dad was this cool. Jack Bauer (24) fits, but Jack Malone (Without a trace) and Horatio Cane (CSI Miami) don't. The help is much appreciated. Nope. But do you watch any other shows like Smallville, House, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Heroes, or Supernatural? » Exposure Meter Problem?
Last night I went to my high schools football game to get some shots. During the game when I was trying to set up my shots, I couldn't get a shutter speed faster than probably about 1/45 no matter what I did. So as you can imagine most of my action shots turned out looking like a ghost rave (see below). Earlier this season I got some shots from one of our home games and didn't have any problems at all, though I did get those shots at Sunset with field lights, rather just the field lights at night. The lens I am using right now is just a cheap 75-300mm but with hope I'm getting a EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM for my birthday in early november so I'm hoping that will help a good deal. Is there something possibly wrong with the exposure meter on ...... - 2010-03-21

I missed the cut-off time for B&H phone ordering, so I thought I'd pose this question before I go to the on-line ordering. Right now I use Lexar 2GB SD memory cards for my D80. There's a whole host of others out there. Do you digital folks have a preference for the card maker? 'Cause I saw a twin pack of Lexar 2GB cards for about $40 bucks and thought while I'm at it.......Yep generic ;) They are cheaper. As I mentioned just now in another thread, flash is flash. The only thing that differs is write speed and reputation. Some companies are nice enough to provide recovery software with their cards. The generic or fake cards are just as good except they miss-represent their speed. They are no where near as fast as the legitimate brand n...... - 2010-03-21

» Are there any ways to make checking your blood sugar less painful?
When you have to prick your finger for diabetes. Any tips on how to make it hurt less? The fingerstick included in the FreeStyle Freedom Lite glucometer has a setting from 1 through 4 on it. The lowest setting barely pricks the finger so you hardly feel it. If you have thick skin or something you may have to increase the dial up to a 4, but using the "1" setting is adequate for most people. Of all the glucometers I have tried, I love this one the best! Get one free at the link below! There are many different meters out now that take very small sample of blood so the needle does not have to go into your finger as deep, which obviously makes it hurt less. MPlayer will at times randomly kick me out of the video and back to my source list. DVD player will at times randomly freeze the screen. When using SMB, I can seek using either MPlayer or DVD player. Hi GA, I am looking for the name of a film mz father saw in the 50s or the 60s. It is the story of an orchestra conductor who plans the murder of his wife, in four acts. In the first act you see him conducting a Brahms (?) symphony and plotting three scenarios. This part is set in a serious mode. The next three acts are his desperate attempts to implement the plan. But it all goes wrong - these parts are very funny, as far as my father can now remember. I dont hvae much else on this one. Looking forward to hearing from you, Thanks, Can1972Hi Can1972! » Why would an electronic power steering not work off the battery if the alternator is not charging.?
My power steering become stiff after the alternator stopped charging. We got a charged battery to start up but the steering was still stiff. I have been informed by the mechanic that the non charging alternator was the reason. One of the small outputs of the alternator switches on the electric power steering, so if your alternator isn't charging your power steering will not work. This is really common on the fiat punto and vauxhall astras. Its better that way. If the power steering runs off the alternator and the alternator dies this means that the power steering will just be stiff. But a battery can start a car a few times without being charged. » 3d view of a bitmap
Hi, I'm trying to find a way to make 3d manipulations with a bitmap object (not only rotate/scale/skew, but more advanced ones). Could someone recommend a possible way to do that? I'm guessing that this would be possible using the getPixel(), setPixel() methods of BitmapData, but I'm concerned about the performance... Actually, it doesn't have to be BitmapData object... my starting point is some real-life image, and I don't care what object it's imported into, as long as I can transform and display it. Thank you! Daniel.Flash 8 has this Matrix class that allows you to rotate objects three dimentionally. Or well, maybe not actual 3d but you'll get pretty close to it. Get yourself to the Flash reference and search for Matrix Neo. ;)Flash 8...... - 2010-03-21
» Why not ban Atheist marriage as well?
People are against gay marriage is that "God" says no, and it's a sin. Then why not go around spewing intolerance towards Atheists who get married? You protest against gays, but not Atheists. Why? That's not fair!If the atheists were gay they would, otherwise there is no biblical statement that says atheists can't marry. Amendment 1 of the Constitution of the United States and amendment number 14 together would prohibit such a ban. You are free to be an Atheist, and you are afforded equal protection of the Law of you are. But you know, this isn't about fairness, and it isn't about religion. It is about a group of ministers who are maintaining power over their parishioners and seeking to extend that power....... - 2010-03-21

I would like to know how to make the expandable flash banner/adverts the ones when you place your mouse over the banner it expands and is still on top of the html ThanksI don't think that is possible. I have seen XHTML expandable banners, and I have seen Flash expandable banners that go over text within flash (not HTML). Do you have an example website?I think espn.com does that from time to time. I do believe that is somehow dhtml related. But I would like to know as well.Yeah I have seen it before, no clue how to do it. » F5 tornadoes?
Have there been any F5 tornadoes since 1999. I have been trying to keep up on the reports the past couple years but I could have easily missed one from 2000-2002. Also I know that there could have been an F5 that was in an open field and it was never rated but does anyone know if there have been any official F5 tornadoes since 1999? Thanks. :?:There haven't been any tornadoes given a final rating of F5 in the United States since the OKC area tornado on 5/3/1999. The LaPlata MD tornado in April 2002 was initially rated F5, but later downgraded to F4.There's a very slim chance, but the Roanoke, IL 07/13/04 tornado could be the next F5. Probably not though. There haven't been any tornadoes given a final rating of F5 in the United States sinc...... - 2010-03-21

» This is regarding Interactive Advertising.
I'd like to know why I would use a technology like Pointroll over creating my own Flash ad that has the same functionality (for example, an expandable banner or skyscraper)Depending upon your skills as a flash ad creator, it is sometimes better to leave flash creation to professionals. Most everyone knows how to hammer a nail- doesn't men you want the 12 year old down the street building your new house. Now if you are an expert coder, have incredible computer graphic design ablities- then hey feel free to use your own skills. Most people are willing to pay because they see their personal limits on their ablity- or because they truely believe that their time is best spent doing other tasks. Just my 1.657 cents there though....... - 2010-03-21
» Flash MX: The Things You Might Have Missed
Time for another "tell them as they come to me" thread ;) Here I'll discuss many of the overlooked or unknown features of Flash which may make you say, "I wish I had known that before!" or maybe even, "hmmph!" or perhaps, "what a worthless feature!" ...? Nonetheless, hopefully you will learn something new. - Timeline Preview Very helpful in animating in flash, this feature allows you to see the visuals of your movie frame by frame in the timeline with previews for each frame. This menu is hidden in the dropdown menu in the upper-right corner of the timeline. There are two versions, preview and preview in context. Preview will crop the frame stretching the visuals to the extent of the frame box in the timeline, while preview ...... - 2010-03-21

My EMA is taking ages. I sent off for it in August and have had a few letters back saying they are really busy and I've rang them tonnes of times. Today I got a letter and thought "Finally it's been processed" however it's just another letter saying they are in the process of processing. GRRRR!!!! I need my EMA. Who else is still waiting or is it just me?I was waiting for mine up until around the middle of October. It will be worth the wait because if you are still following the procedures to claim it from your school/college, you will get back paid all in one go.I ain't got mine yet either so we're in the same boat. However the former company (Liberata) that paid us ema, doesn't run it anymore. It was on the ...... - 2010-03-21

We want to set up paid subscriptions which allow access to certain forums based on subscription type. We have a couple of questions. We're based in the UK but want to accept CC payments from anywhere. We know that vB integrates with PayPal, but we really don't like their requirement to open an account. Their account-free payments scheme is not yet available to businesses in the UK. NoChex only accept credit cards issued by UK banks, so for international coverage, AFAIK, we're stuck with WorldPay. Does WorldPay integrate with the vB paid subscription system? Is there now a definitive guide to setting it up? Thx :)Yes, WorldPay is one of the supported options. I have a question. I've seen pictures of people, and they almost look glossy, shiny- like. Almost like a real-life painting but picture wise. Whenever I ask about Christian beliefs and ask about support for them from the Bible, I get a full range of incompatible answers from different people. It gives explanations of each part, with no confusion. Good Luck! :)Wow, your question sent me on a wild ride through any number of theological, psychological, sociological and even biological answers to your questions. I've heard on the news and on the internet that Honda is pulling out of F1 due to increased costs However who is going to buy Honda? I heard on the news that 3 companies are intrested but who are they? And if the Honda F1 team does get bought will they return to F1...as BAR Honda or a diffrent team?I hate to say it, but I just can't see anyone wanting to buy them. The team management obviously isn't communicating the "real world" situations in the their team to Honda because Rubens still thinks he is a Honda driver and Honda - Japan think he has left the team (why else would they only apologise to their second best driver?). » How do you make your html page copywrighted so no one can copy the text on the site?
as i have been too sites and it prevents you from copying the text so how do you go about doing this to your own html pages? It has nothing to do with - it is called copy protection. You do this by installing a script that disables right-clicking on your page. This does not, however, prevent people from highlighting text, then selecting Edit - Copy. It is generally agreed upon in web design that using scripts to disable right-clicking frustrates and alienates visitors who use the right click on their mouse button for other functions such as Add to Favorites, Print, and Open in New Window (for links). The best way to protect your content is to register your site with an anti-plagiarism site such as copyscape, which searches for copies ...... - 2010-03-21

» How is it that the same people that support gay marriage oppose pedophiles?
Both are forms of perversion, its just that the media has made homosexuality acceptable in today's society. Now, I know some liberal is about to spout off that "its not the same thing because gay marriage is between two consenting adults and that a pedophile marrying a child is not between two consenting adults." As expected, their argument makes no sense. Why? Because the term "consenting adults" is defined by LAW. If the law says the age of consent is 18, then anyone under 18 is considered a child. If the law says the age of consent is 3, then anyone under 3 years old is a child. The law determines the meaning. The law is what the homosexuals are trying to change -- to force society to accept their perversion. Not ironically, t...... - 2010-03-21

'Cause I saw a twin pack of Lexar 2GB cards for about $40 bucks and thought while I'm at it.......Yep generic ;) They are cheaper. As I mentioned just now in another thread, flash is flash. State and federal health officials fielded that question at Wisconsin's Pandemic Influenza Readiness Summit in Madison.
» Expandable Flash banners
Would be an awesome tutorial for the site:PStrange, it's the one thing we don't know how to do, yet 200 people ask this question every week...

» EMA - who elses hasn't come yet?

The only explanation is the team management are not communicating the right information to Japan...... - 2010-03-21
